Landing Whale Watching has served southern California for over 20
years providing whale watching and dolphin cruises. Year around
cruises view many varieties of whales including the giant blue whale,
which attains lengths over 80 feet, several types of dolphin, seals,
and all sorts of other marine life. Each cruise is a unique experience;
you may never know what you might encounter. A recent cruise encountered
a huge pod of killer whales numbering over 30 killer whales including
adults and young, definitely a trip of a life time. The waters surrounding
Newport Harbor offer deep nutrient rich waters which attracts all
types of marine creatures.
The Laguna Beach coastline is just south of Newport Harbor and offers
some of the most beautiful coastline of Southern California. The
gray whales another whale very commonly seen on our cruises seem
to enjoy the beauty of the Laguna Beach coastline as well with many
whales spotted just a couple hundred yards off of the beach. Most
of our whale watching cruises take in the scenic backdrops of Laguna
Beach, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach. Due to the geography
of the Orange County coastline and the protection of Catalina Island,
the ocean conditions are incredibly calm and allow whale watchers
to fully enjoy this amazing experience.

in length with a large upstairs sundeck, wrap around outside
seating, snack bar with food and beverages, and indoor seating
with large windows. Our whale watching ship was designed just
for viewing Southern California marine life! Plenty of other

trip. Our captains & crews have backgrounds in marine
biology and are incredible knowledgeable providing fascinating

5 boats for just your company or group or join one of our
open to the general public 1/2 day, 3/4 day, or longer fishing
trips. Several departure times each day means that there is
a trip time and length to fit almost any schedule. Whether
a family or just yourself these trips are an ideal opportunity
to experience the best of Southern California Sportfishing.
Local trips (1/2 day trips) fish areas from Long Beach to
Dana Point including Laguna Beach & Huntington Beach.
Catch barracuda, halibut, sand bass, calico bass, red snapper,
giant yellowtail, white sea bass, and many other species.
¾ Day fishing trips fish Catalina Island and over 40 miles
of coastline. Yellowtail to 40 pounds, barracuda, bonito,
calico bass, sand bass, white sea bass, halibut, yellowfin
tuna, and many more species possible on these full day trips.
Newport Landing Sportfishing's fleet has state of the art
electronics, spacious indoor/outdoor seating, and full amenities
including a full service snack bar/kitchen. Newport Landing

day Fishing Trip
Fishing areas from Long Beach to Dana Point including the
productive waters off of Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach!
Fish caught inlcude white sea bass, halibut, yellowtail, and
even yellowfin tuna a possibility. The most common fish caught
include calico bass, sand bass, barracuda, bonito, sheepshead,
sculpin, and at least a dozen other species. Experienced crews
staff each trip to offer assistance and instruction if needed.
The Nautilus is our primary ½ day open party boat over
70 feet in length. The Nautilus offers an upstairs sundeck
with full amenity snack bar/kitchen to make the brief cruise
to the fishing grounds scenic and relaxing. Fish cleaning
services are available onboard for a small fee you catch is
filleted and ready for the grill. Deep sea fishing gear rental
for every type of ocean fishing trip, as well as numerous
accessories, such as hats, sport sunscreen, and sunglasses,
to name just a few. |

3/4 day Fishing Trip
Our ¾ day trip fishes Catalina Island and coastal areas
from Long Beach to San Offree and offshore! We target yellowtail
tuna and these hard fighting fish can easily attain weights
of over 40 pounds. Along with yellowtail we also fish for
white sea bass, barracuda, bonito, calico bass, sand bass,
halibut and manhy more, Our boat catch usually averages hundreds
of fish per trip. The Patriot is our standard boat and has
plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We also feature a full
snack bar/kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and
beverages.
