Are dogs allowed on Laguna Beach's beaches?

Are dogs allowed on the beach? We will be in Laguna Beach over holidays and will be bringing our 2 dogs. If they're not allowed - can anyone suggest a great dog park?

You're in luck - from September 17th until the end of May, you can take your dog (believe must be on a leash) to the public city beaches of Laguna. During season (June 1 until September 16), dogs are NOT permitted on any public city beach between 8am and 6pm.
