DO they have fireworks in Laguna Beach, perhaps on the beach? Any suggestions or insider tips for where to watch?

The City sponsors a fireworks show the evening of July 4th after the sky is dark (generally around 9:00 p.m.) off Main Beach. Other shows can be seen up and down the coastline at about the same time.

I will be in LB during the first week of July. Are there any 1/2 day art classes, workshops taking place during that week. I paint with oil or watercolor.

Yes, go to Main Beach early in the day and stake out a spot. About 9 pm the fireworks can be seen anywhere on the beach. Highly recommend Johnny Rockets (its right accross from Main Beach on the PCH) cheeseburgers to go for dinner on the Fourth-- you can munch on cheeseburgers and fries while watching fireworks for a true blue American experience.
