I am coming to Laguna Beach in a month and I am on Atkins. I was wondering if there were any good places to eat that have a lowcarb menu. If not I can always order something wherever we go.

I would recommend Cafe Zinc. They are open for breakfast and lunch. They serve everything from eggs with fresh fruit for breakfast to salads and soups for lunch. Check out their website: http://www.zinccafe.com/

Natalie, my daughter enjoyed a Mexican/Seafood meal at a Spanish-style restaurant years ago. She says the building is just north of Surf and Sand Hotel. She thinks it was a one-name restaurant..."Oli"--something? Olivera? Olivetas? Do you know of such a place? Are they still in business?

What I'm really looking for is a quaint, ocean view place where I can meet up with some friends who live in LA. I want something hip and cool, but not noisy. Good seafood, good wine, great view, perhaps patio dining for a Sunday lunch. Thanks in advance for your help.
