Laguna Beach Real Estate Prices

What is with the high real estate prices and high rentals. Does everyone in Laguna make that much money ? Are jobs available to support rental prices??

It's the same old song and dance. Supply and demand. Everyone wants to live here, but Laguna Beach is only so big and there are only so many places for sale or rent. And Laguna Beach was already extremely popular long before the MTV show made it a household name. You also have to take into consideration that a lot of current residents have lived here a long time and have no intention of leaving. Many bought their homes in the 1970s for less than $50,000 and they are now worth millions.

How about jobs to support rent of $3000 per month, any chance of that. Other living to come from other income.
