We
have raised $130,000 over the last 2 years for CHOC!
We
celebrate our community's greatest asset - our children.
We
are women committed to the well-being of all children - no child
is turned away.
We
help provide advanced research, outreach, education, critical
and patient care for our communities' children.
Chartered
in 1962, the women of Queen of Hearts Guild in Laguna Beach
enjoy wine tastings and creating their cookbook together,
as well as a holiday ornament exchange and a summer social
with spouses. They are united in their purpose: to acquaint
the community with the mission of Children's Hospital of Orange
County in Orange and Children's Hospital at Mission in Mission
Viejo and to raise money for the many needs of the hospitals
and outpatient clinics and services.
The
Queen of Hearts Guild has strong community support. Genuine
teamwork exists between the hospitals and the guilds. They
have supported all areas of growth at CHOC including financial
contributions to the new hospital building, which opened in
1991, the neighborhood clinics, Children's Hospital at Mission
and other areas of need when requested.
Training in fund
raising, leadership, and legal/tax regulations is held for
members accepting guild officer positions. Friends and acquaintances
help support fundraising efforts. Queen of Hearts Guild continues
to support CHOC with outstanding dedication and financial
contributions. They deserve the community recognition they
receive as an outstanding philanthropic organization!
