the Collection, 1945-1980 Laguna
Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive Laguna Beach, CA 92651 / Following
its exhibition Best Kept Secret: UCI and the Development of
Contemporary Art in Southern California, 1964-1971, Laguna Art
Museum continues in the subject of Pacific Standard Time: Art
in L.A. 1945-1980, an initiative of the Getty exploring art
in Southern California from 1945 to 1980. The museum will explore
its own permanent collection to reveal important works in that
time period. In addition to artists who were featured in exhibitions
throughout Southern California, the museum will also look at
artists that may have been overlooked in this ambitious initiative.
The Postwar Era: From the Collection, 1945–1980 will include
works by Francis De Erdely, Phil Dike, Keith Finch, George Herms,
Lorser Feitelson, Llyn Foulkes, Roger Kuntz, Rico Lebrun, John
McLaughlin, Lee Mullican, DeWain Valentine, and Jeffrey Vallance,
among others. This exhibition will be on display in the museum’s
main galleries. Also on display at this time on the museum’s
lower level will be Victor Hugo Zayas: Mi Obra guest curated

Make a Mini Sea Lion Sculpture Pacific

Secrets Exchange" At
the upcoming meeting of the Laguna Beach Garden Club on Friday,

throughout Southern California, the museum will also look at
artists that may have been overlooked in this ambitious initiative.
The Postwar Era: From the Collection, 1945–1980 will include
works by Francis De Erdely, Phil Dike, Keith Finch, George Herms,
Lorser Feitelson, Llyn Foulkes, Roger Kuntz, Rico Lebrun, John
McLaughlin, Lee Mullican, DeWain Valentine, and Jeffrey Vallance,
among others. This exhibition will be on display in the museum’s

Parking Lot next to the City Hall in Laguna Beach. The Laguna Beach
Certified Farmers Market is the real thing - a place where genuine
farmers sell fruits, nuts and vegetables directly to the public.
Every farmer who sells at a certified market is inspected by the
county agricultural commissioner to make sure he/she actually grows
the commodity being sold. The Laguna Beach certified California

Miller Garden, located in Upper Boat Canyon in Laguna Beach /
SEEDS is proud to be working with Laguna Beach artist Doug Stotts
to offer a plein air painting class for kids. SEEDS has partnered
with the Hortense Miller Garden to provide a beautiful natural
setting for the class venue. The class will focus on the fundamentals
of plein air (open air) painting. Some materials will be provided
by Crystal Cove Alliance. Children will leave with a one-of-a-kind
piece of art. This event will take place on Saturday, May 12 from
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Fee: $25 (discount available for Friends
